How You Can Help the Safe AI for Children Alliance

Help protect children from AI risks: Find out how you can support the Safe AI for Children Alliance through advocacy, content contributions, donations, and community action.
How You Can Help the Safe AI for Children Alliance

Since forming the Safe AI for Children Alliance (SAIFCA), we’ve been humbled and encouraged by requests from wonderful individuals who, like us, feel passionately about creating a safer AI future for children. Many want to offer their precious time to help make SAIFCA stronger.

We can’t tell you how appreciative we are of these offers. Every voice, every contribution, and every bit of support amplifies our impact in creating a brighter, safer future for children.

As momentum for protecting children from AI risks rapidly gathers pace, SAIFCA is growing quickly - but our current capacity is still much smaller than our potential for good!

So, if you’d like to help us fulfil our maximum potential and protect children’s futures, here’s how you can make a difference:

Stay Connected

First and foremost, stay connected by signing up for our newsletter. You’ll receive key updates, valuable insights, and early opportunities to get involved as SAIFCA’s work expands.

Share Our Message

One of the easiest yet most powerful ways to help is to share our work, our website, and our mission with your personal and professional networks.

We are currently most active on LinkedIn:

  • Follow SAIFCA here
  • Connect with Tara Steele (SAIFCA Director) here

Please engage with and share our posts on LinkedIn. We also encourage you to repost these on other platforms (specifically Facebook, Bluesky and Instagram), or write your own posts with links to our website - your efforts there are incredibly valuable as we expand our reach.

A great initial post to share is our guide: The Risks to Children from AI Companions.

Contribute Content

If you have significant experience and expertise in a relevant area, please consider submitting a guest article for consideration for publication on the SAIFCA website (along with your author bio).

Due to our current capacity to review submissions, we are only able to accept contributions from those with substantial experience in relevant fields at this time. This isn’t due to a lack of interest in other valuable and passionate voices, but purely a matter of resource management.

Please note that, while we review all proposals carefully, we are only able to publish a limited number of guest articles at present.

If you’re interested in contributing, please visit this page for further details - thank you!:

We are currently unfunded, so any contribution, large or small, is incredibly helpful in covering our basic operational costs. Your support allows us to dedicate more time and resources to our mission.

You can make a donation here (you can adjust the default amount to whatever you choose):

We welcome donations from supporters worldwide. Please note that amounts are shown in GBP (£), but you can donate using any major debit or credit card, and the amount will be automatically converted to your local currency at checkout. You can change the donation amount to whatever you choose.

If you are an individual or organisation interested in making a larger donation or exploring funding/support efforts to amplify our impact, please don’t hesitate to reach out. And if you know someone who might be interested, please share this opportunity with them!

Future Opportunities

As SAIFCA continues to grow, we will be creating new opportunities for direct involvement. In time, we anticipate forming an Advisory Board, offering collaboration opportunities for safety guidance in schools, and contributing to academic research.

Please sign up for our updates to receive information on these opportunities as they become available.

Thank You!

Thank you for your interest in supporting the Safe AI for Children Alliance!

Policies rarely change without a strong public narrative and sustained advocacy. By consistently highlighting the risks and advocating for child-centric AI design and regulation, you are actively shaping the conversation around AI development. You’re helping move it from being purely about innovation to being about responsible innovation that prioritises children’s futures.

Large tech companies and governments are often slow to act on ethical and safety concerns until there’s clear public pressure. Your support truly helps us extend our reach and impact - thank you for being a part of it!
